1. What's the date today ? 今天是幾號(hào)？What is / was the date ...?這一句型意為"......是幾號(hào)？"常用來詢問某一天是幾月幾日。

2. It's very cold, but quite sunny. 天氣非常冷，但十分晴朗。sunny是形容詞，意為"晴朗的；陽光充足的",是由sun雙寫n再加 -y構(gòu)成的。英語中許多名詞后加 -y可構(gòu)成形容詞。如：cloud(云)- cloudy(多云的)，rain(雨)-rainy(多雨的)，wind(風(fēng))-windy(多風(fēng)的), snow(雪)-snowy(多雪的)，health(健康)-healthy(健康的), sleep(睡覺)-sleepy(瞌睡的), noise(吵鬧聲)-noisy(喧鬧的)等。

3. Bruce rings up his father in Sydney, Australia. 布魯斯在澳大利亞的悉尼給父親打電話。ring up sb 意為"打電話給某人"。ring up 屬于"及物動(dòng)詞+副詞"構(gòu)成的動(dòng)詞短語，人稱代詞賓格作其賓語時(shí)要放在動(dòng)詞與副詞之間。如：Please ring me up this evening. 今晚請(qǐng)給我打電話。

4. Hello!Dad? This is Bruce. 喂!爸爸嗎？我是布魯斯。用英語打電話時(shí)說"我是某人"，不能說"I'm..."而要說"This is..."或"This is...speaking."或"...speaking."

5. There will be a strong wind to the north of the Huai River. 淮河以北將有大風(fēng)。There be結(jié)構(gòu)的將來時(shí)態(tài)是There will be...或There is going to be...如：There will be a class meeting this afternoon. 今天下午有班會(huì)。

6. The temperature will stay above zero in the daytime, but at night it will fall below zero again.在白天氣溫會(huì)保持在零度以上，可是在晚上氣溫又會(huì)降到零度以下。in the daytime意為"在白天"，也可以說in the day; at night意為"在晚上"，而in the night意為"在夜間"。注意這些習(xí)慣表達(dá)。

7. The snow will be very heavy in some places. 在一些地方雪會(huì)下得很大。表示雨大、雪大的"大"要用heavy,表示風(fēng)大的"大"要用strong，不能一看到"大"就用big。

8. The radio says the snow will stop later in the day. 收音機(jī)說在白天晚些時(shí)候雪會(huì)停。say在這里意為"報(bào)道"，它常作由notice, letter, radio, newspaper等作主語的句子的（謂語）動(dòng)詞。如：The notice says there will be a football match tomorrow. 通知說明天有場足球賽。What does the letter say? 信上寫了些什么？

9. The radio says the cloud will lift quite quickly. 收音機(jī)說云將很快散去。lift用作動(dòng)詞時(shí)有"（云、霧等）散開；消散"之意；用作名詞時(shí)，lift意為"電梯"。如：The cloud lifts and the sun comes out. 烏云消散，太陽出來。

-The same to you. 你也一樣。The same to you. 意為"你也一樣。"常用來回答在大家共享的節(jié)假日里對(duì)方對(duì)自己的祝福。如果對(duì)方不能共享，則應(yīng)說Thank you. 如：1) -Have a nice weekend. 祝你周末愉快。
