stay的用法

　　1.用作不及物動(dòng)詞

　　I stayed to see what would happen.

　　我留下來(lái)看進(jìn)一步的發(fā)展。

　　She stayed to take care of her mother.

　　她留下來(lái)照料她母親。

　　2.用作系動(dòng)詞

　　She is my girl and she stays my girl, understand?

　　她永遠(yuǎn)是我的女兒,明白嗎?

　　He stayed a bachelor.

　　他不結(jié)婚。

　　3.用作及物動(dòng)詞

　　You'd better stay the weekend.

　　你最好留下來(lái)過(guò)周末。

　　He stayed the work and had the machinery removed.

　　他把工作停下來(lái),讓人把機(jī)器搬掉。

　　4.用作名詞

　　We only intend to make a short stay here.

　　我們只想在這兒作短暫的逗留。
