寒假，我讀了《百萬英鎊》這本書，使我明白了更多金錢的意義。
故事講述了兩位富翁利用一位流落倫敦的窮人——亨利·亞當(dāng)打賭，從而使亨利得到了一張五百萬英鎊的支票。他去了一家飯店，老板見他是個窮光蛋，就讓他坐到角落里，可當(dāng)他付錢的時候，老板驚呆了，老板無法找錢，就讓他免費(fèi)吃了一頓飯。態(tài)度也變好了，他又去服裝店，小店員給他了一件別人不要穿的又特難看的衣服，可當(dāng)他拿出支票時，小店員懊悔極了。老板知道后，免費(fèi)給他量身定做了許多在各種場合穿的.衣服。之后他不僅把英鎊還給了富翁，自己也有很多錢，有車有房還有一個愛他的妻子。
當(dāng)今社會，錢成了衡量一切的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。這個故事充分對比說明了我們面對有錢人和面對窮人的不同，世界不是應(yīng)該人人平等的嗎？我們說得到但做不到，這不是可恥的行為嗎？不管我們?nèi)绾螑坼X都不能失去良知和善良的本性。有些人為了得到錢不惜一切手段，更有可怕的為了得到遺產(chǎn)不惜殘害自己的親人，把自己的女兒違心嫁給有錢人等等。更為可怕的是大部分醫(yī)生為了回扣給一些有錢人吃不必要的藥 ，見到?jīng)]錢的人，不管多嚴(yán)重的病都視而不見，喪失了良知，在他們眼里錢比任何東西都重要。
我們想得到錢，就應(yīng)該用正常的途徑去獲得。
金錢并不是至高無上的！
