　　The Cold WinterWinter begins with December and lasts for three months.The weather is very cold.Its extremely cold in the late winter.In winter,the roofs are usually covered with frost in the early moming.Brooks and rivers will be frozen and the ground will be frozen hard too during the coldest period.All the insects sleep under the ground without eating.Nothing looks as fine as in the spring time.However,when snows fall,we can enjoy a wonderful white world.How beautifully it is falling all day long,all night long,on the mountains,on the meadows,on the roofs of the living,on the graves of the dead.All is white.Then children will stay outdoors to make snowmen.

　　參考譯文：寒冷的冬天冬天開始于12月以后的三個月,天氣非常冷。最后一個月是最冷的。冬天里,早上的屋頂上覆滿了霜,在最冷的時候,小溪、河流都結(jié)了冰,地面也嚴重結(jié)冰,所有的昆蟲不吃食物在地下冬眠,一切都不像春天那樣美好。然而,下雪時,我們會擁有個美妙的白色世界，多么美麗呀!雪整日整夜地下著，下到山上，草地上屋頂上墳墓上，一切都是白的。然后，孩子們會呆在外面堆雪人。
