以前我總不喜歡看書，每當(dāng)媽媽叫我看書我就敷衍了事，老師叫我讀書那也是迫不得已，同學(xué)叫我一起看書更是濫竽充數(shù)。但這個(gè)暑假我卻開始喜歡看書了。
這個(gè)暑假我“榮幸”的被老師選了當(dāng)圖書管理員，我也只有硬著頭皮去沖鋒了。來(lái)到圖書館，哇!好多讀書，好漂亮，在這里東轉(zhuǎn)西轉(zhuǎn)，大家都在看書，我也不好意思，就拿了一本書，坐上了椅子，在這里看書真舒服，這個(gè)期間媽媽居然來(lái)巡視了，那時(shí)沒(méi)人來(lái)，我也只好拿著一本《格列佛游記》裝樣子，媽媽一看高興地說(shuō)：“兒子真乖：”我想：還不是給你裝樣子�？粗粗蝗晃矣X(jué)得書的內(nèi)容哈精彩，真吸引人眼球，我看了下去，更精彩了，我第一次覺(jué)得書這么好看，看著看著，就看入迷了。更妙的是一天同學(xué)們正在討論《格列佛游記》有的人茫然不知，而我滔滔不絕地講起，大家投來(lái)羨慕的目光，真讓人想說(shuō)這句名言“開卷有益”。

4月16日上午，CCTV“希望之星”英語(yǔ)風(fēng)采大賽湘潭賽區(qū)復(fù)賽在我們東方紅學(xué)校舉行。
我去的時(shí)候比賽已經(jīng)開始了，只見向思璐站在上面緊張地表演著，帶動(dòng)著我也緊張了起來(lái)。我一看序號(hào)，呀！馬上就到我了，于是我趕到座位上，其他同學(xué)都全神貫注地看著表演者，我也自作鎮(zhèn)定的等待著。
啊，馬上就到我了，我再也掩飾不住那緊張的情緒，心在不停“咚咚，咚咚”地跳著。輪到我上場(chǎng)了，我懷著激動(dòng)而忐忑不安的心情走上了講臺(tái)。我首先敬了個(gè)禮，做了自我介紹，然后開始有聲有色的表演我的節(jié)目，英語(yǔ)小故事《AGOODBOY》。我平復(fù)一下自己的情緒，然后流利地講著我的故事，邊講還邊做動(dòng)作，仿佛進(jìn)入了天真的情境。評(píng)委老師專注地聽著我的故事，不時(shí)用筆記一下什么，我看到一位評(píng)委老師的眼睛里露出了一點(diǎn)笑意，我如釋重負(fù)。我的表演結(jié)束了，回答完老師的問(wèn)題后，敬了個(gè)禮，便退場(chǎng)了。
比賽結(jié)束后，在回家的路上媽媽接到電話：“您的孩子成功突圍，晉級(jí)決賽了�！蔽抑篮�，高興地跳了起來(lái)，此時(shí)此刻，我想起了之前努力的情形：到老師家上完輔導(dǎo)課后，回家一遍又一遍的練習(xí)，經(jīng)常練到晚上9點(diǎn)多……這些都是值得的。我現(xiàn)在最要感謝的是爸爸、媽媽還有那位輔導(dǎo)老師。
正所謂：功夫不負(fù)有心人。我從這次比賽中明白了一個(gè)道理：只要有辛苦的付出，就會(huì)有更好地回報(bào)，我要繼續(xù)認(rèn)真準(zhǔn)備，爭(zhēng)取在決賽中取得好的成績(jī)。
